Rexall Now Breaking Language Barriers Across Canada with New Virtual Medical Interpretation Service

EDMONTON, AB — Rexall now provides medical interpretation services in over 240 languages nationwide through a partnership with Voyce.

In real-time, pharmacy teams can access Voyce’s network of medical interpreters to communicate with patients on their device of choice, including smartphone, tablet, laptop, desktop, iOS, Android, Telephonic and various other integrations.

“Together with Rexall, we are breaking down language barriers at your local pharmacy. Rexall pharmacists across Canada are now able to have conversations with patients in Cree, French, Ukrainian, Mandarin, Spanish, American Sign Language and more, over 240 languages total,” said Andrew Royce, CEO of Voyce.

“Healthcare decisions are important, and we believe patients should completely understand the healthcare information they are receiving and be able to ask questions. By giving patients the ability to have a conversation with a pharmacist in the language they are most comfortable in, we are raising the bar on patient experience and reducing medical errors.”

Voyce joined Parliamentary Secretary to Alberta’s Minister of Immigration and Multiculturalism Jackie Armstrong-Homeniuk, local MLA and Parliamentary Secretary Andrew Boitchenko and Rexall Vice President Andrew Roberts for a demonstration at Rexall #7513 in Devon.
